Introduction

The Diablo 4 Paragon board is an extension of your character and skill choices, a way to specialize with great possibilities. Below we will dive deeper into the paragon board and how it works.

Unlocking and progression

When the player reaches level 50 they unlock the Paragon Board. Per level the player can earn 4 paragon points, unlocking a point every 25% of a level. You will cap the Diablo 4 Paragon Board at level 100. There will be 225 Paragon points to spend, 201 from leveling and 20 from renown unlocks and 4 from the Lilith Statues.

Board Attachment Gate

At the edge of each Paragon Board you can find Gate Nodes, these special nodes allow you to connect a new Paragon board that you can select from a list. Upon selecting a Gate node the player will receive an +5 to all-stat boost. You can additionally rotate the new Paragon Board to better suit your needs.

Nodes

The Diablo 4 Paragon Board has a variety of different nodes. Nodes give you a bonus and will overall benefit your build. Below we show the different nodes you will find on the board.

Normal Nodes
– Provide a +5 increase to either Strength, Dexterity, Willpower, or Intelligence.

Magic Nodes – Provides a more specialized bonus.

Rare Nodes – Provides a more significant bonus. Additionally, these nodes provide an extra bonus when you reach a certain stat threshold.

NOTE – The Cost of the BONUS on each rare node with each board added. For example. A rare Node might cost 270 INT to activate on your starting board. As you add your second, and third board to your paragon, the Rare Nodes that cost INT will now cost around 180.

Legendary Nodes – Provides a legendary power, each paragon board has one legendary node.

Glyphs

Throughout your journey you will find Glyphs, you can add these Glyphs to a Glyph Socket on your Paragon Board. Glyphs will offer a certain bonus based on the nodes around it. You can level these Glyphs up by completing Nightmare Dungeons, allowing you to gain more radius around them.

Paragon Board Planning

With 225 paragon points to spend, putting together an efficient Paragon Board can be challenging. While planning your Paragon Board make sure to consider the following:

  • Which Legendary Nodes and Glyph Slots you want to target
    • Which Glyph is your slotting related to the Attribute it requires for scaling
  • The Rare nodes on each board you will want and how far the board is placed from your starting board
    • The Cost of the BONUS on each rare node with each board added.
  • Minimizing Travel to reduce spending on basic nodes

Although Paragon Boards can be extremely complicated to master, minding these 3 tips will go along ways towards character-building success.
