The Greatsword is a powerhouse melee weapon, wielded in two hands, cleaving down foes. This weapon heavily focuses on cleave/AoE damage alongside a sprinkle of single-target utility. Greatsword Active Skills

Active Skills in Throne and Liberty go on your skill bar and can be cast to affect both enemies and teammates. Currently, there is a total of 12 skill slots on your skill bar. To create your build, you must choose between both weapons Active Skills to fill out your 12 slots!

The Greatsword’s Active Skills are focused on dishing out large amounts of damage in cleave or Area of Effect style attacks. Some Skills, however focus on single-target damage or crowd control. Below is a list of all the Active Skills for the Greatsword.

On defending against a Fury Attack within 0.5s, deals damage with a 80% chance to Stun the target for 3s. Targets immune to Stun are Shocked for 6s. Wrath Attacks can’t be defended. Use with the directional buttons to defend against attacks while moving 4m in the designated direction for 0.5s. Upon defending against a Fury or Wrath Attack, Charging Draw is activated for 3s.

Murderous Draw
Deals damage equal to 460% of Base Damage + 266 to targets within a 4m radius.

Charging Draw
Charges at the target, dealing 200% of Base Damage + 122. On attack hit, increases Magic, Melee, and Ranged Heavy Attack Chances by 150 for 3s.

Valiant BrawlAttacks 3 times in a row, each attack dealing 205% of Base Damage + 71 damage. 100% more damage aginst Bosses. Every time a hit becomes a heavy attack, the remaining cooldown decreases by 20%.Cruel Smite (5): Attacks 3 times in a row, dealing 110% Base Damage. Every time a hit becomes a heavy attack, the Cooldown decreases by 20%. If the attack lands as a Critical Hit or heavy attack, deals 88% damage to the target within a 3m radius.

Additional Damage Boost (7): After skill is used, damage increases by 5% for 2 seconds.

Aggression (3): Threat increases upon hit.
Precision DashRushes to the designated direction, dealing damage equal to 110% of Base Damage to the maximum of 6 enemies on the path, and increase Magic, Melee, and Ranged Heavy Attack Chances by 160 for 3s on hit. Damage increases by 16% per 1m of distance from the target at the starting point. If used again within 3s, will rush to the designated target and apply the same effect again.Bind (10): 80% chance to Bind the hit target for 2 seconds.

Range (5): Range +30%

Shield Block Chance Down (5): 80% chance to decrease the target’s Shield Block by 30% for 4 seconds.

Effect Duration (5): Heavy Attack increase duration increased by 1.5 seconds.
Stunning BlowFury Attack | Deals 150% of Base Damage, with a(n) 80% chance to Stun the target for 3.2s. Targets immune to Stun are Shocked for 8.4s. Every successful heavy attack sets Stun duration to 3.7s, and Shock duration to 9.4s.Cooldown (5): Skill Cooldown decreased by 15%.

Additional Damage Boost (3): Skill Damage Boost +150% for the next Skill used within 5 seconds.

Aggression (3): Increases threat upon hit.

Hit Rate (5): Skill Hit increases by 30%.

Effect Duration (7): Stun Duration increased by 1 seconds.
Death BlowDeals damage equal to 530% of Base Damage + 181. Against Bound, Sleeping, Shocked or Stunned targets, damage increases by 30%. The damage is amplified by 80% against bosses.Damage Concentration (5): Damage increases by 100% based on charge time.

Cooldown (5): Skill Cooldown decreases by 15%.

Damage (3): Damage dealt to a target in Prone status boosts by 30%.
DaVinci’s CourageFor party members within a 15m range, Max Health 1000 ▲, Health Regen 250 ▲, and Attack Speed 15% ▲ for 12s.DaVinci’s Chill (10): Increase Max Health by 440, Health Regen by 110 for 12 seconds. Applies Weaken: Frost to the target within 5m which decreases Move Speed by 5%. When 10 stacks is reached, the target becomes Bind: Icebound for 3 seconds. Applying Frost to a target that is Icebound increases Bind duration by 0.2 seconds.

Duration (7): Effects Duration increases by 3 seconds.

Damage Reduction (7): When effect is applied, Damage Reduction additionally increases.

Instant Healing (3): When the effect is applied, recovers Health by 200% of Base Damage + 200.
Gaia Crash(Directed Skill) Creates a 12m-long, 3m-wide area at the target location that deals damage equal to 295% of Base Damage + 79.Frost Cleaving (7): Deals 383% of Base Damage + 56 to every enemy withing a 3m radius, and then deals another instance of damage to the same area after a second. If the targets are affected by Bind: Icebound, they receive 498% + 73 damage.

Attack Speed (3): Attack Speed increases by 15% for 3 seconds after using the Skill.

Critical Hit (3): Skill Critical Hit increases by 300.
Devastating TornadoDeals damage equal to 65% of Base Damage + 23 to all enemies within Attack Range. Consecutively attacks up to 12 times. On each hit, damage 8% ▲. Move Speed 18% ▲. Can also move through monsters and other players.Ice Tornado (7): Attack Speed increases by 100%, hitting 12 times dealing 57% of Base Damage + 9. When hit, damage increases by 8% and applies Weaken: Speed Decrease. Bind for 3 seconds is applied when the target reaches 10 stacks. Bind: Icebound duration increases by 0.2 seconds when Frost is applied to a Frozen target. Moves 11% faster and can pass through targets.

Resistance (3): Increases All CC Resistances by 200 while using the Skill.

Cooldown (5): Skill Cooldown decreases by 5 seconds.

Bonus Damage (3): Inflicts an additional damage that is equal to 17.1% of Base Damage +3 to a Bound target.
Will BreakerDeals 100% of Base Damage to all enemies within a 3m semicircle and applies Weaken that decreases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense by 720 for 6s.Damage Area Change (5): Deals 100% of Base Damage to all enemies within a 3m radius and applies Weaken that lowers defenses by 300 for 6 seconds.

Evasion Down (5): Upon hit, the target’s Evasions are decreased by 300.

Aggression (3): When hit, threat maxes out.
Ascension SlashDeals damage equal to 320% of Base Damage + 126. Applies Collision: Prone with a 80% chance against Bound, Sleeping, or Stunned targets, or those using Static Defense, for 2.5s. For each Heavy Attack, Collision: Prone duration increases by 1s.Charging Slash (5): Wrath Attack | Rushes to the designated target, dealing damage equal to 265% of Base Damage + 54. Guillotine BladeDeals 750% of Base Damage + 111 damage. Deals 975% of Base Damage + 144 damage to Collision: Prone or Shocked targets. The damage is amplified by 100% against bosses. On hit, Weakens the target, decreasing Incoming Heal by 60% for 6s.Damage Concentration (7): Damage increases by 100% based on charge time.

Cooldown (3): Skill Cooldown decreased by 15%.

Area Damage (5): Inflicts 630% of Base Damage + 80 damage to a 3m radius around the target if the attack is Critical or Heavy Attack hit.
Blood DevotionTakes 40% of the damage intended for the designated party member for 6s. Only 70% of damage taken applied.Devoted Sanctuary (5): All Party Members within 15m receive 40% of damage taken for 6 seconds. When damage is applied, only 100% of the damage is applied.

Duration (3): Effects Duration increased by 3 seconds.

Damage Transfer Increase (5): Transferred damage increases by 30%.

Additional Damage Boost (5): Increases damage inflicted to the connected target by 50.
Devastating SmashJump at a target and slash down with a Greatsword, dealing damage equal to 310% + 109 to all targets within a 3m radius. Has a(n) 70% chance to Stun the target for 2s.Effects Chance (7): The Stun Chance is increased by 15%

Recommended Weapon Combinations

Sword & Shield

Sword and Shield is the perfect melee pairing for the Greatsword, if being a front line Tank is your kind of playstyle. Both weapons benefit greatly from each others Passives. For example, Passive that grant Maximum Health, more damage when a target is Stunned, Damage Reduction and more! You can become the ultimate nuisance with this build. It is also worth mentioning that front line Tanks are extremely desirable in Guild vs Guild content.

Dagger

The Daggers grant Greatsword players the ability to be a true melee assassin. Both weapon Skill rotations provide a fantastic way to get onto targets, lock them down and burst them. Unlike traditional assassins that would have lower HP pools, this combination provides a fairly bulky set-up. This combination would be heavily considered as a “Bruiser” role.
