Armor Weight Class

T&L uses a weight system to separate different types of Armor in the game. Weight classes act as a funnel to give you particular stats based on the weight of the Armor. Below is a list of Armor types and weights, and how it is also affect by them.

Light Armor

Light Armor in Throne and Liberty is your typical weight type supporting agile movers and mages. In this case, seeing as the game is a weapon-based game, options are more flexible than ever. Light Armor such as Robes, for example, have a much higher chance to roll with Wisdom or Magic/Ranged Crit Hit as a baseline stat. Other Armor in this category could weigh towards Dexterity to assist DPS users. On Light Armor you can more commonly roll:

  • Maximum Mana
  • Wisdom/Dexterity
  • Evasion
  • Attack Speed

Medium Armor

Medium Armor caters more toward the Leather-type Armor pieces in Throne and Liberty. This is where Stats and Traits tend to mix between Light and Heavy to create a good middle ground. You’ll often find more defensive options start appearing once you hit Medium Armor territory. On Medium Armor you can more commonly roll:

  • Hit Rate Buffs
  • Max Health
  • Resistances

Heavy Armor

Heavy Armor comes in the form of Plate. Plate in Throne and Liberty generally comes with more baseline defense and leans towards stats like Strength. Commonly, Maximum HP as a trait rolls on these hefty pieces as a result. It should be noted, however, that any weapon combination can be used with any Armor Type. Just because Robes have Intelligence and Mana, does not mean you cannot go full Plate to be a Bruiser Wizard! Heavy Armor can commonly roll:

  • Maximum HP
  • Damage Reduction
  • Strength

Armor Stats

Below is an example list of Stats that can roll on Armor:

  • Strength
  • Dexterity
  • Wisdom
  • Perception

Armor Traits

Traits are a type of “Perk” you can unlock on Armor, unlocking more Traits depending on the quality of the Armor. Below is a list of some example Traits you can roll in Throne and Liberty:

  • Evasion
  • Critical Hit Rate
  • Maximum HP
  • Maximum Mana
  • PVP Traits
  • Hit Rate
  • Melee Heavy Attack Chance
  • Endurance
  • Damage Reduction
  • Debuff Duration
  • Cooldown Speed
  • Construct Damage bonus
  • Health Regen
  • Incoming Heal
  • Global Cooldown Speed
  • And more!
