How to Create a Library Room in V Rising
In this guide you will learn how to create a library room in V Rising, what benefits you receive, and what structures can be used in the room.
What is a Library Room in V Rising
In V Rising you can build various types of rooms for specific structures. These rooms will give you bonuses for those structures. These bonuses include things like reduced time to refine and reduced resources needed to refine. A library room in V Rising will provide you with those bonuses when utilizing library equipment placed within your library room. To get started you will need to unlock Library Flooring.
How to Unlock Library Flooring
To unlock the Library Flooring in V Rising you will need to build a Study. You will need to defeat the level 37 boss, Nicholaus the Fallen, in order to get the Study structure recipe. Once you have acquired the structure you will need to place it down in your castle. This will cost you 40 paper, 40 planks, 8 copper ingots, and 8 grave dust.
You can now use the study to unlock specific recipes. You will do this by using scrolls. In order to research the library flooring recipe you need to either find the specific library flooring scroll book or farm scrolls to research a random recipe for a chance to get it. You’ll do this by fighting enemies, looting chests in villages / camps, and destroying barrels and crates in the Dunley Farmlands zone. You can see which areas within the zone have scrolls by hovering over those areas on the map and finding the scroll icon.
If you have no luck finding the specific scroll book for the flooring then you’ll have use 75 scrolls to unlock a random recipe at the study. You may have to repeat the process of farming 75 scrolls many times before you’re lucky enough to unlock what you’re after.
Building the Library Room in V Rising
Once you have unlocked the library flooring you’ll then want to enclose a room in your castle. Then, place down the flooring. The library floor can be placed down by pressing the default key of “B”. Navigate to castle, floors, library flooring. Each tile will cost you 4 blood essence and 4 planks. Doing these two things will provide you with two bonuses. You will receive a “Confined Room” bonus and a “Matching Floor Bonus”.
The Confined Room bonus will decrease the crafting and refining time by 25%. The Matching Floor bonus will decrease your cost of resources by 25%. This is incredibly valuable because it will take you much less raw material to convert into paper, scrolls, and schematics.
All Structures that can be Used in the Library Room
The structures that are considered library structures include the research desk, study, athenaeum, and paper press. The paper press is the only library structure that will receive the bonuses from the flooring. This is because the other structures are used solely for research. Once you have the required paper, scrolls, or schematics the research is instant.
