Introduction

In order to gain access to Taedal’s Tower Floor 2 you must be level 17 and have completed floor one. On this floor you will be facing the Rushing Queen Spider. The Venomous Queen Spider, much like floor one, is a fairly easy boss to defeat. She is fairly slow, however, she does have a few ranged attacks. These attacks can be easily avoided as long as you’re aware of what’s coming.

Abilities

• Web Launch – You will see the Venomous Queen Spider stand still with her front legs raised for a moment. The boss will then launch a web towards you. If you’re hit you will take damage and your movement speed will be reduced. The web will linger in it’s location for 10 seconds. If you stand on the web you will take damage. When the boss launches the web you can sidestep it to avoid it. Then, simply stay away from the location of the web on the ground until it disappears.
• Spray – The Rushing Queen spider will spray a substance out of her backside 3 times in a row. If you’re hit by it you will receive a de-buff that reduces your movement speed. You can sidestep the AoE in order to avoid being hit.
• Poison Jump – The Spider queen will leap into the air and try to land on your location. If you’re hit you will take damage and be poisoned. The easiest tell for this attack is the purple circle. The purple circle is the block indicator that you see on many enemies in Throne and Liberty. This means you can time your block and negate the damage from the attack with a perfect block. You can also move away from the landing location to avoid being hit.
• Rush – As you may have noticed from the name of the floor, Rushing Queen Spider, the boss also has a rush ability. She will rush towards you and attack, rearing up her front legs. This attack is easily avoided. Simply move back to avoid being damaged.

If you pay attention to animations of the boss the abilities can be easily avoided. Keeping your distance and utilizing ranged weapons is a valid strategy for defeating the Rushing Queen Spider.
